This great value, retro string-style shopping bag is perfect for rolling up small and carrying with you whenever needed. It is surprisingly spacious, has long handles suitable for the shoulder and is strong and durable. A practical way of helping reduce the amount of plastic waste in our oceans. 40cm x 38cm.
Please note our current stock contains a small piece of plastic tape, which is used to hold the mesh in place during stitching.
Why we love it
Made from GOTS certified organic cotton stitched with polycotton thread for strength and durability.
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres and means the entire textile supply chain is independently certificated including both ecological and social criteria. The cotton is grown on non GM, small farms in South India where the dry climate helps the cotton to grow well. It is then woven in GOTS certified weaving units and sewn into bags. For the mesh bags the fabric is woven to the actual size of the bag (as it cannot be cut easily) which also means there is no wastage.
Produced responsibly by a small family run business at their own sewing unit in Tamil Nadu, India. A Slice of Green visited the unit in 2018 and were impressed by the high standards maintained there.

We offer the following delivery options. In all cases you will be provided with a tracking number. Orders received by 10am weekdays will be sent out the same day.
1: ROYAL MAIL TRACKED 48 - £3.50 (FREE for orders over £50)
This is our standard delivery option. Usually delivered within two to three working days.
2: ROYAL MAIL TRACKED 24 - £5.00 (Only £1.50 for orders over £50)
A faster service, usually delivered the next working day.
3: DHL EXPRESS - £8.50
Delivery by DHL courier using their express service which usually delivers next day (Monday-Friday only). Order by 11am weekdays for same day dispatch.
We are happy to accept orders from around the world, but only offer delivery within mainland UK (excluding Jersey & Guernsey due to required customs documentation).
