    A recent investigation by the Big Plastic Count showed that UK homes threw away 96.6 billion pieces of plastic a year. Using reusables will help cut this staggering number of single use plastics discarded into the waste stream.

    Our recycled cotton produce bags that are made from scraps of fabrics that are discarded during manufacturing processes. They are collected and turned back into fibres ready to be reused in the production of new products. Since the recycling process weakens the cotton, it is necessary to use other fibres for strength. A Slice of Green recycled cotton contains 80% recycled fibre and 20% virgin cotton, ensuring it is plastic-free.

    The material is certified by Global Recycled Standard (GRS).

    Cotton produce bags are really useful for many other things. Mesh bags can be used in the laundry for small and delicate items, or for holding toiletries like soap bars. Cotton is also breathable keeping your produce like fruits and vegetables fresher for longer.
