This interesting dark milk hybrid chocolate bar contains real bread crumbs from a freshly baked rye loaf handmade in Pump Street's very own bakery!  Its nutty flavour and slight crunch paired with the mellow creamy taste of Hacienda Limon cocoa beans from Ecuador, offers a unique tasting adventure perfect for chocolate connoisseurs.

This fabulous bakery inspired chocolate bar is multiple award winning! It won Gold in the Academy of Chocolate 2015 and 2021 Awards, and received 2 Gold Stars in the Best Flavoured Milk Chocolate Bar & Great Taste Awards 2015.

The Guayas Basin, where the Hacienda Limon Farm is located, is one of the most fertile areas along the Pacific coast. The climate is equatorial, there is an abundance of water resources and volcanic soils, rich in minerals and organic matter, making for the perfect cocoa growing conditions.

The 110-hectare farm is managed by eight local workers. It distinguishes itself from other cocoa farms in Ecuador for the old original pure Cacao Nacional Arriba variety grown there. The farm has been awarded Heirloom Cacao Preservation status. This status ensures the protection and preservation of this fine flavour cacao variety, endangered cacao trees, and the livelihoods and empowerment of the farmers and farming community.

The farm focuses on regenerative and organic farming. The trees at Hacienda Limon are unique in that Samuel von Rutte sourced the genetic stock from the Rockefeller Foundations Genback dating back to the 1950s. Upon harvest, the beans are pre-dried before fermentation which significantly affects the process and reduces both the acidity and the bitterness. The resulting beans are rich in caramel and nutty flavour.

Pump Street Chocolate is clear about the importance of supporting the cocoa farmers it works with. By sourcing the best beans grown with minimal intervention, and through a transparent, ethical, and sustainable supply chain and direct trade, it is able to pay prices far greater than fair trade direct to its growers. Farmers are able to take home a fair wage and give the same to their team members, and to maintain their land and trees in environmentally responsible ways.

Handmade in Orford, Suffolk by a family-run company made up of bakers and chocolate makers. Everything it produces is a reflection of the finest produce, farming and agriculture that surround the brand's location on the Suffolk Heritage Coast. Presented in a beautiful, resealable pouch that is fully compostable.

Available in two sizes:-

70g - pouch measures approximately 12.5cm wide x 19cm long.

20g - pouch measures approximately 6.5cm wide x 10cm long.

Ingredients: Cocoa beans, organic cocoa butter, cane sugar, milk powder, breadcrumbs (wheat & Rye flour, natural sourdough starter, sea salt), sea salt. May contain milk, cereals containing gluten, eggs, nuts and sesame seeds.

Delivery by DHL courier using their express service which usually delivers next day (Monday-Friday only). Order by 11am weekdays for same day dispatch.

We are happy to accept orders from around the world, but only offer delivery within mainland UK (excluding Jersey & Guernsey due to required customs documentation).

We hope you will be pleased with your purchase, however should you wish to return anything bought from us, we will be happy to refund or exchange a product provided it is in a fully resalable condition.
