PINEAPPLE ISLAND

The Pineapple Island journey began in 2008 when Founder Nathan Jones was on a gap year traveling South East Asia. A Thai man approached him whilst on a beach in Koh Samui, holding a wooden display board with bracelets on. Nathan purchased all his stock so he could return to his home village in Chang Mai.

On Nathan's return to the UK, he started selling the bracelets at a local craft fair. After the second day he had almost sold out - Pineapple Island was born!

The story behind Pineapple Island

HAND CRAFTED IN BALI

Nathan has a small, hard working team based in the seaside town of Bournemouth, located along the South Coast of England.

The team work closely with a studio in the heart of Bali, where they have a full time designer and part-time group of outworkers who create Pineapple Island jewellery as a second income.

CREATING POSITIVE CHANGE

From Bournemouth to Bali, the Brand's bohemian designs are inspired by a common ground: nature, beautiful beaches, clear blue oceans and stunning coastlines.

With every product made, Pineapple Island aims to break the cycle of extreme poverty through sustainable jobs for its Balinese makers. By cutting out big factories, money goes directly into the hands of smart and resourceful artisans, directly contributing towards positive social change.
