Kate's Favourite Practical Eco Friendly Christmas gifts
Looking for unique and thoughtful Christmas gifts that are kind to the planet? This festive season, let's embrace sustainability without compromising on style or practicality. In this post, Kate, our inhouse eco-expert, explores her favourite eco-friendly gift ideas that are perfect for everyone on your list.
At this time of year, it's so lovely to work for Eco Living and Ethical gift shop Green Tulip. I feel very lucky to be able to pop down to the stock room anytime to browse the beautiful selection of ethical gifts – perfect for a spot of Christmas shopping!
I thought it would be nice to share some of my favourite eco-friendly Christmas gifts for some of my favourite people!
A truly sustainable Christmas gift can be one that is reusable time and time again.
One of my absolute favourite reusables is The Qwetch Active Insulated Stainless Steel bottle, at 600ml and with a stunning mountain design, the Altitude bottle is perfect for my climbing obsessed sons.
They would also appreciate the LunchBots collection, with three different sizes and either 2, 3, 4 or 5 compartments, they are strong and long lasting stainless steel bento boxes perfect for work, uni, picnics and adventures.
The Hunu Collapsible Coffee cup is both pocket friendly and planet friendly, a perfect gift for any coffee love trying to cut down on single use.
A great gift for young people is a Qwetch Cold Cup. Designed with being out and about in mind, it is ideal for days out, festivals, road trips, keeping hydrated at work and travel.
As well as being reusable eco-friendly Christmas gifts can also be made from sustainable materials. Some of my favourite sustainable Christmas gifts are the ReSpiin Seagrass and Jute Tablemats, this set of six natural mats is a classic gift for any home and the materials used help maintain and improve the environments they are grown in.
A Bambu Artisan Board is both a sustainable and practical Christmas Gift with a rich natural beauty and smart design.
Milagros wine glasses make a unique eco-friendly Christmas gift. Unique because they are hand made and no two are exactly alike and eco-friendly because they are made from recycled glass!
And don't forget the pets! Dog Christmas gifts can be eco-friendly too, like these ultra cool Cub Dog Toys made from factory offcuts.
P.S. For all Green Tulip orders, there's the option to add a FREE postcard and they'll handwrite a personalised gift message for you. If you're sending directly to the recipient, there's also the option to have your gift wrapped. For just £2.50, your gift will be wrapped in tissue paper, packed in a natural cardboard box and hand tied with a natural paper ribbon bow in the colour of your choice.
