This great value gold plated necklace features a star charm hand carved from tagua, the seed from a type of palm that's often referred to as vegetable ivory. A symbol of guidance, magic and hope, it makes a lovely gift or self purchase for all ages, especially the ethically minded.

Just Trade works in partnership with fair trade artisans across the world to create hand made contemporary fashion jewellery for the ethically minded.
The star is hand carved from a tagua nut, a seed from a type of palm that grows in the South American rainforests. Often known as vegetable ivory, tagua is an environmentally friendly and sustainable alternative to animal ivory. A nut is selected that is as close to the desired finished shape as possible, which is then formed using a variety of sanding processes and polished to achieve a smooth surface. The star is hung on an 18" gold plated chain with claw clasp.
Star measures approximately 1cm. Chain approximately 48cm. Comes mounted on a recyclable card detailing the fair trade nature of the product.
We offer the following delivery options. In all cases you will be provided with a tracking number. Orders received by 10am weekdays will be sent out the same day.
1: ROYAL MAIL TRACKED 48 - £3.50 (FREE for orders over £50)
This is our standard delivery option. Usually delivered within two to three working days.
2: ROYAL MAIL TRACKED 24 - £5.00 (Only £1.50 for orders over £50)
A faster service, usually delivered the next working day.
3: DHL EXPRESS - £8.50
Delivery by DHL courier using their express service which usually delivers next day (Monday-Friday only). Order by 11am weekdays for same day dispatch.
We are happy to accept orders from around the world, but only offer delivery within mainland UK (excluding Jersey & Guernsey due to required customs documentation).
