Aura Que works closely with small producer groups in Nepal that are WFTO members to ensure healthy and safe work environments and payment of living wages. It also encourages trade for small Nepalese family businesses and charity handicraft units, aiming to slowly build long term relationships with these suppliers, under the same fair principles.

Aura Que's founder Laura regularly visits fabric trader Dhiraj in Nepal who supplies the recycled saris. In the treasure trove of vibrant colours, intricate patterns, textures and sparkles, it can be very difficult to choose! With intricate printed patterns and luxurious smooth textures, saris are works of art, often passed down families through generations.

Nepali culture is very waste-conscious and re-purposing fabrics that have reached the end of one stage of their lives is commonplace. Aura Que has given these fabrics a new lease of life, and another chance to tell their stories.
