A fresh take on a timeless flavour pairing, this rhubarb and ginger chocolate bar brings together bold taste and a mission to reduce food waste. Crafted using surplus ingredients sourced through Wonki Collective, the rhubarb and ginger were originally destined for cereal bars but have been reimagined into something truly special.
This distinctive split bar features two complementary halves: smooth, spiced ginger milk chocolate and a bright, tangy rhubarb creation blended with cocoa butter. The result is a perfectly balanced combination of warmth and sharpness, showcasing why rhubarb and ginger remain a classic duo.
Bean-to-bar and thoughtfully made, this chocolate is a celebration of creativity, flavour, and a more sustainable approach to food. 70g.
Chocolarder produce fine quality, stone ground chocolate using organic beans imported from single estate, family run plantations in Venezuela, Java, Madagascar, Peru and the Dominican Republic. They source direct from the farmers themselves, and by establishing this direct channel from the farm to the kitchen, they can be picky about the quality of the beans and be sure that the money they pay is going to those who do the real work. Having found reputable growers producing high quality beans, Chocolarder commit to purchasing their harvest always for above the market prices.
Again, is a new range of chocolate bars made using surplus ingredients that otherwise would have gone to waste. Our food supply chain is broken, and they want to be part of a growing number of people showing that it doesn’t need to be.
Don’t worry, the team at Chocolarder haven’t been rummaging in bins here, just stepping in before that point and working with partners to give new life to things they have finished with.
As with all Chocolarder products, this bar is completely plastic free and the cocoa can be traced back to farm level.
Chocolarder was formed in 2012 by pastry chef Mike. He began experimenting happily in his own kitchen, making small batches from raw beans and getting intimate with the processes of roasting, grinding and alchemizing to produce fine chocolate from scratch.It wasn't long before Mike started making his chocolate full time, and today his chocolate is sold all over the world and used by Michelin star chefs. Chocolarder is still one of the only small batch bean-to-bar chocolate makers in this country.
