Penguin Ink
Originally from Suffolk, Lizzie is a professional Graphic Designer based in Bristol with her husband and family. Penguin Ink was launched in 2015 whilst Lizzie was on Maternity leave with her eldest child Flo. Lizzie had the time to play and create some design work just for her. Lizzie showed it to a local shop and I got such a wonderful reaction, the first collection was created.
Lizzie is inspired by nature, animals and the environment around her designing from her beautiful basement studio. Over the years lots of Lizzie’s and friends' pets have inspired some of our best selling designs. Lizzie's designs are striking and simple using just one or two colours to depict the shadows, highlights of the form, using simple lines and shapes creating a lovely texture on the cards. Using a limited colour palette our cards sit beautifully together across the collections.
Penguin Ink cards and stationery are traditionally pressed by lovely local family printers. Letterpress is a beautiful technique, using gorgeous old machines, it is a true craft. The cards have a tactile, embossed finish, exuding quality with thick paper stock and crisp pressed design.

All that I ordered are for presents and I'm sure the recipients will be very pleased (even the one that isn't born yet!). The quality is good and it's important to me that they are ethical as well.
Ordered some lovely woven table mats with coloured edging. Nicely packaged prompt service with update on despatch.
Quality of the product is lovely they hold shape well and when I apply some porridge on the on the first outing they mopped up nicely without losing any structural integrity. I would definitely recommend.
