TRIXIE
Belgian brand Trixie was created in 2009 by co-founders Julie Van Ginderachter and Michel Vanfleteren, who brought sustainable nursery textiles to the Belgian market. The main ethos for the brand was to provide young parents with sustainable, ecological and innovative products that help their children to grow up in a safe and creative way.
Sustainability for Trixie is all about the usefulness and lifespan of its products. Through thoughtful materials and design, there is ultimately less waste - with every product easily standing the test of time so it can be handed down to younger siblings and other family members. By launching products in a yearly cycle instead of seasonal, Trixie also avoids stimulating the harmful consumption culture that so many brands fall into by bringing out new products every few months.
Today Trixie is proud to have become an international brand and key player in school and nursery essentials, and with its toys and mealtime ranges. The team's creative ideas and designs are born at Trixie HQ located in De Pinte, Belgium, and its extensive warehouse is in Oudenaarde.
