TOASTED CRUMPET
The idea for Toasted Crumpet came when founder Jo Clarke left her job as a Chartered Accountant in the city and moved to rural Surrey to bring up her young family. Exploring the local parklands and woodlands with her boys inspired Jo to follow her passion for design and she started painting; creating beautiful watercolour designs that translated perfectly onto a stunning range of greetings cards.
Jo's love of the beautiful British countryside stems from her rural upbringing on her parents' farm. She's still continually inspired by the great outdoors and has recently managed to capture the glory of British nature onto stationery, mugs, tea towels, soap wrappers, scented candles and more!
With the business expanding space was a real issue so in September 2021 Toasted Crumpet moved to a fabulous large warehouse unit and studio in Leatherhead. Today Jo has an amazing team of predominantly female helpers who give their all and of whom she is incredibly proud.
Not forgetting the furry, four-legged helpers who keep everyone smiling and sane - here's Amber the Golden Lab busy helping with order packing!
