Born in 2018 in Cornwall, Liga is a family run business. Driven by a dream to create contemporary, practical and planet-friendly products, founder and design lead Jennie Elderkin set out to make a change. The team are never too far from the sea and the brand is inherently connected to nature; from the sustainable materials they use, to the stories behind their collections, Liga captures the essence of coastal living and brings nature into your home.
LIGA's mission is to make beautiful things out of sustainable materials. These products are affordable, innovative, and inspired by the natural world we’re committed to protecting. They are dedicated to conserving the environment through conscious material choices and responsible design. From organic, unbleached cotton and compostable cloth to recycled plastics and rubber, and ethically sourced cork - they only take what the planet is happy to give. In return, they create thoughtful, lasting products that bring nature into everyday living.
Organic cork is one of Liga’s core and foundational materials, a sustainable and regenerative resource harvested by hand every nine years. Over time, their selection of exciting sustainable materials has expanded to include other innovative and planet-friendly choices. Ranging from recycled plastics and rubber to organic, unbleached cotton, and compostable cloth. With a supply chain that is globally diverse, spanning countries such as Portugal, Greece, Sweden, India, and local suppliers in the UK, LIGA know that our biggest environmental impact lies in the materials we use in our products and we are always exploring new ways to enhance our sustainability.
Ordered some lovely woven table mats with coloured edging. Nicely packaged prompt service with update on despatch.
Quality of the product is lovely they hold shape well and when I apply some porridge on the on the first outing they mopped up nicely without losing any structural integrity. I would definitely recommend.
The placemats and coasters are lovely, really nice colours.
