KITE CLOTHING
Mum of three Jo Spragg founded Kite in 2007 after leaving a demanding job as a buyer in the kid's fashion industry to spend more time with her children. The pace of such a job and family life combined was hard to balance, and a change was needed. So with the help of her husband Richard who was also in the industry, they set about creating their own designs aimed at babies and children aged 0-11 years.
Jo's main ethos for the brand was for every garment to be designed and manufactured to the highest quality with the lowest possible environmental impact. She connected with fabulous producers in Turkey and India, with whom she still works closely today and visits every six months to ensure that the quality and social welfare standards in the factory is what she and her customers would expect. Both producers have achieved certification by the Soil Association to GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standards), which means that the entire supply chain is approved to the high standards required for a garment to be organic.
Today Kite has grown to be a small team of like-minded individuals based at a warehouse unit in Poole, Dorset, just yards from the sea. Jo's planet-conscious lifestyle gets her cycling to work in all weathers and organising team events such as country walks and beach clean-ups.
In March 2021 a furry, four-legged member joined the team - Flora the long haired mini daxie! She is a bundle of joy and has been stealing hearts ever since!

Super easy to order, quick delivery - I’m loving these laundry sheets! As someone with a very sensitive sense of smell, I cannot handle standard laundry scents so thought I’d give these a try. They do have a strong smell at first (for me at least) but when everything was washed and dry, it was perfect! My whites (always the test) came up really good too. Very happy :)
I’ve been looking for a UK company and UK made product to replace my laundry liquids and Green Tulip are perfect. Cruelty free and vegan with the added bonus of non toxic and environmentally friendly, what is not to love about that. I’m on my first lot of sheets and they wash well with a subtle scent of clean. Will definitely be reordering.
I am extremely pleased with my ocean flask ! It has been very satisfying to buy a flask with a smaller volume as some are too big. Love the colour and the style of it plus helping save plastic .Thanks
