Ethical Brand Review: Neat.

Meet neat.

We are delighted to introduce Neat. cleaning products to the Green Tulip family. Voted the best overall refillable cleaning products 2022 by The Independent, its starter pack make the switch to refills super easy.

We're always on the hunt for new products to stock at Everyday Green. Not because new always means better, but the eco-friendly industry is constantly evolving and making groundbreaking changes that can really have a positive impact on our planet.

For us to decide to stock it, it must be better than what we already offer in terms of the environment, price and effectiveness. Neat. certainly ticks these boxes!

Here's a few reasons why we love them:

  • Neat. eliminates the need for single-use plastic when it comes to cleaning, instead using refillable spray bottles made from 100% recycled aluminium, and cleaning concentrates that come in small glass containers and you top up with water at home. Glass is 100% recyclable and can be endlessly recycled with no loss of quality.
  • Simple and effective to use, the refills - made from plant-based ingredients and free from dyes and colourings, parabens, phosphates, ammonia, chlorine bleach and sulphates - offer great value for money.
  • Neat. products are concentrated, which reduces the amount of product that requires shipping. Most cleaning products are 90% water - Neat. products show it's not necessary to ship water with the rest of the product, you can simply add this yourself at home.
  • Neat. are a B corp meeting they meet the highest social, ethical and environmental standards 💚

Founded in 2022 by Ryan McSorley and Melissa Murdoch, Neat. is on a mission to help protect our planet by creating simple and effective solutions that inspire everyone to make more sustainable choices:

"We believe that people and the planet deserve better. We’re here to help protect our planet by creating simple and beautiful solutions that inspire everyone to make sustainable choices. We do this by making beautiful cleaning products that perform brilliantly and cut down on waste."

What Kate says:

"I'm a big fan of Neat. cleaning products because they completely eliminate the use of single-use plastic, which is a major issue for our planet. Instead, they offer refillable spray bottles made entirely from recycled aluminium and cleaning concentrates that come in small glass containers. Both aluminium glass are infinitely recyclable without any decrease in quality, so a fantastic choice of materials by neat for packaging.

The actual cleaning product are concentrated refills that are created using plant-based ingredients and are free from harmful chemicals such as dyes, parabens, phosphates, ammonia, chlorine bleach, and sulfates. This makes them safe for me and my family to use, and it's also better for the environment."
