Specially developed to nourish hard working hands, this non-greasy hand cream contains unrefined shea and cocoa butters, rice bran oil, virgin olive oil and glycerine to soften and condition the skin. With the addition of lavender, rosemary and peppermint essential oils, this hand cream offers great healing properties as well as a clean, uplifting scent. Comes in tin pot with screw on lid and is easily absorbed so a little bit goes a long way.

BRITISH

The Farmers' collection of body care products are hand produced in North Wales and infused with lavender essential oil grown and distilled at Welsh Lavender Ltd's farm in Mid Wales. For this range of products the company grows a variety of lavender called Grosso as it has the highest oil yield and is very hardy. 15kg of lavender produces anywhere from 100 to 250ml of oil.

When the farm's small team cut Grosso for distillation, they use a Japanese tea plucker, which is like a hedge trimmer with handles on each end. It takes two people to carry it and a third to hold the large silk bag into which the flowers are blown. A quality ground cover is used to keep weeds down, and organic potash is used for a fertiliser.

NATURAL

All of the Farmers' products are made with fresh, natural ingredients sourced as locally as possible.

Welsh Lavender Ltd farm and distil lavender oil on a windswept hillside in mid Wales.  The idea of farming lavender began when philosopher Bill Newton-Smith and journalist Nancy Durham, wondered how their sheep farm might be put to new use.  In 2003, Nancy set out to plant a lavender hedge and soon ended up with the first lavender farm in Wales!  Today, the yield enables them to produce an extensive range of products, including their Farmers' range of oils, creams and balms.
