STORMY KNIGHT

Illustrator and designer Sarah Jackson set up Stormy Knight in 2013 after getting bored in various graphic design jobs and the desire to be her own creative boss. Sarah produces beautifully illustrated cards from her studio in Bristol; and along with her own designs, she works with a small portfolio of talented illustrators to create fun and colourful collections of greeting cards and stationery designed to brighten everyone's day.

The story behind Stormy Knight

WORKING MUMS RULE!

The name Stormy Knight came from a nickname that one of Sarah's old bosses gave her - 'Knight' being her maiden name and ‘Stormy’, from the fact that her office desk often looked like it had been hit by a hurricane! (She tidied it just before this photo was taken!).

In April 2021 as the UK was properly emerging from Covid-19 lockdowns, Sarah gave birth to little Phoebe! It was a lovely time to have a baby but it also meant that as shops opened the orders flooded in again - she found herself a lot busier than before lockdown - and with a newborn in tow! Sarah rose to the challenge and Phobe attended her first trade show at the age of 3 months - she seemed to enjoy it very much!

A GROWING FAMILY SUCCESS STORY!

A few years later Phoebe started nursery three days a week so life suddenly became a lot easier. Sarah admits it was tough but she wouldn’t have done it any differently and is very proud of the fact that Stormy Knight still managed to grow whilst she juggled it alongside raising her daughter.

In the Autumn of 2022 Sarah was delighted to win her first ever Henries, the progressive greetings cards awards. Not only was she thrilled at winning the best Christmas card range for her Blooms Collection, but she also got to meet the wonderful Patrick Kielty too!

    Why I Love Stormy Knight

Stormy Knight was one of the first card ranges we stocked, and I love the way Sarah has developed the range over the years. She does a great job of collaborating with all sorts of artists, as well as producing cards that are fun and look good.
