SoL glass cups not only help to move towards a more sustainable lifestyle, they also keep drinks tasting exactly the way they are made (unlike plastic which can not only affect the way a drink tastes, but can leach harmful chemicals into it too). The light weight and strength of the hand blown glass makes it suitable for use on the go as it contains a high percentage of borosilicate making it more durable than regular glass. It also retains heat well and is 100% chemical free.
The Seaside Slate cup comes with a dark taupe food-grade, thermal silicone lid and sleeve which is non toxic and BPA-free. The sleeve is designed to make the glass non-slip and easier to handle, as well as protecting hands from intense heat. However please be cautious as very hot drinks can still burn through the sleeve so it is a good idea to leave the lid off and allow the drink to cool slightly before handling the cup.
Designed in Australia and produced responsibly in China. SoL's logo symbolises the sun (‘sol’ in Spanish) and the signature zigzag design in the sleeve reflects the ocean waves of founder Rebecca's beautiful hometown beach at Bondi.
Presented in a beautifully styled, recyclable card gift box which can be re-used as a pen pot or desk tidy.
Microwave and dishwasher safe.
Approximately 11.5cm high x 9.5cm diameter at widest point - 12oz.
PLEASE NOTE: Although durable, this cup is still made of glass and due to the nature of this material, being dropped from a height on to a hard surface will mean there is a natural possibility it will break.
SoL cups are made from glass and food grade silicone only and are 100% chemical and toxin free.
Bringing your own re-usable cup for your take away drink will help go towards reducing the amount of single use cups sent to landfill each year, as 99% are not recyclable.
Disposable paper cups usually contain 5% polyurethane plastic, making composting and recycling extremely rare. Half a trillion disposable cups are manufactured annually around the world - that’s over 70 disposable cups for every person on the planet.
SoL cups are produced in an audited factory in China.
Rebecca struggled to find a solution to taking a glass from home with her coffee or tea in it. There were cups on the market but they were either made of plastic, were too heavy or didn’t look that great. She wanted something health conscious, environmentally sustainable and stylish, so decided to design her own - SoL was born!
