Tell Me More
These fun, pillarbox red snowman socks feature a contrasting heal and toe and a ribbed cuff with lots of stretch and flexibility for a comfortable fit.
Made responsibly in China from 54% viscose derived from bamboo, 22% organic cotton, 22% recycled polyester and 2% elastane.
Bamboo fabric is silky soft to touch and is just as gentle on the environment, as it is extremely fast growing and uses minimal resources. It is also naturally thermo-regulating, so as well as keeping feet warm, these socks can just as importantly keep feet cool in the heat.
The organic cotton used in these socks is Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified. This means it has the official organic ‘seal of approval’. Organic cotton is softer, kinder to your skin and so much gentler on the planet. It doesn’t need as much water or harmful chemicals as conventional cotton. Plus, it’s biodegradable so creates less waste going to landfill. Organic certification means that textile and fabric products are grown according to strict guidelines on the use of petroleum based fertilisers, pesticides and synthetic products.
The polyester used in these socks is a special fabric produced from recycled plastic bottles. Once recycled and reworked, the fabric is strong and incredibly soft, making it ideal to blend with bamboo fabric.
Gentle machine wash at 30 degrees. Do not tumble dry.
Comes in recyclable, plastic free packaging.
About the Brand
Thought was originally born from a desire for friends David & John to wear natural fabrics to keep cool in the intense Australian heat whilst on holiday. The first clothing they designed was simple - a small collection of men's shirts and beachwear made from sustainable ramie and hemp.
In 2002 John took the fledgling brand (then known as Braintree Clothing) to the UK. He opened pop-up shops on London's famous Portobello Road and at Camden Lock market, and it wasn't long before a flurry of independent boutiques stocked the growing collection. By 2005 the Company had secured its own office and warehouse, and had introduced a womenswear collection. Braintree changed their brand name to Thought in 2017 to reflect their philosophy on sustainability. Today, the Company is still a small team of creative fashion designers based in North London working to create pieces that are effortless to wear and sustainably made.
