This over sized, silky-soft breathable bamboo scarf is extremely versatile as it is large enough to wear as a sarong that can be cleverly styled in several different ways. It features a smart graphic print in a range of Autumnal colours.
Made responsibly in China from 100% viscose derived from sustainable bamboo fibre. Bamboo fabric is naturally breathable and thermo regulating, responding and reacting to what the body needs most. So as well as keeping you warm during the colder months, this scarf can just as importantly keep the sun off the skin and keep you cool in the heat. Printed with Oeko Tex standard, Azo-free dyes.
Gentle machine wash at 30 degrees. Do not tumble dry.
Approximately 110cm wide x 200cm long.
Produced from 100% viscose derived from sustainably grown bamboo. Bamboo fabric is silky soft to touch and is just as gentle on the environment too, being extremely fast growing and using minimal resources.
The bamboo comes from China and is sourced from factories qualified for the Oeko-Tex 100 Standard (Confidence in Textiles) Certification, along with an ISO14001 certificate. This means they have an internationally recognised environmental policy.
Manufacturing unfortunately does involve a chemical process but as it is a closed-loop process, none of the chemicals are released into the environment. The process enables the bamboo to become heavy and pulped, at which point it is forced through spinnerets, and separated into threads for spinning, dying and weaving into cloth.
In 2002 John took the fledgling brand (then known as Braintree Clothing) to the UK. He opened pop-up shops on London's famous Portobello Road and at Camden Lock market, and it wasn't long before a flurry of independent boutiques stocked the growing collection. By 2005 the Company had secured its own office and warehouse, and had introduced a womenswear collection. Braintree changed their brand name to Thought in 2017 to reflect their philosophy on sustainability. Today, the Company is still a small team of creative fashion designers based in North London working to create pieces that are effortless to wear and sustainably made.
