This large, super strong shopper bag has been upcycled from used coffee bean sacks and bicycle inner tubes! It has a huge capacity making it perfect for carrying shopping home from the high street, and the original printing on the coffee sack used to make the bag means that each and every one is completely unique. The inner tube handles are long enough for the shoulder and have lovely feature stitching making them robust and super-comfy so won’t cut into the hands or shoulder when carrying heavy weight. The bag's edges are nicely finished off with black cotton piping.

Upcycled from used coffee bean sacks and used bicycle inner tubes saved from UK landfill. Hand crafted by trained tailors through a fair trade initiative Malawi, one of the poorest countries in the world.

Please note that due to the upcycled nature of this product, there will be blemishes and variations - you may even be lucky enough to get some manufacturers text or an old puncture repair patch!  However, the first three images shown above is of the exact product you will receive.

Non-washable.

Approximately 11cm wide x 46cm long x 32cm high. Handles measure approximately 52cm long.

FAIR TRADE

Cycle of Good pays above the national living wage and offers full employment rights such as paid holiday and pensions. Regular, reliable employment is essential and very hard to come by in Malawi. With no welfare state, the locals cannot work, and cannot support their families. The Cycle of Good has made lasting positive change for the communities in Chilomoni Township, Malawi, one of the poorest countries in the world.

UPCYCLED

Cycle of Good collect used coffee bean sacks and give them to their tailors who carefully craft useful and beautiful items. They also collect waste inner tubes from cycle shops and cycling clubs throughout the UK and ship them in their own containers to Malawi. All the upcycled inner tube products are vegan friendly and ethically hand crafted in Malawi.

Cycle of Good is a fundraising initiative which is part of a wonderful hub of social enterprises created by registered charity the Krizevac Project. The Krizevac Project is a different kind of charity achieving lasting positive change for some of Africa’s most needy communities in enterprising ways. 100% of all the money made by Cycle of Good helps to fund social enterprise, early years childcare and family support in Chilomoni Township, Malawi which is one of the poorest countries in the world.

All of the Cycle of Good team in Malawi live in Chilomoni where the workshop is situated. They have all completed a two year diploma in tailoring and design, using old sewing machines donated from the UK. Since then, they have completed further training focused on accessories production, offered by international volunteers.
