This photo frame is made from mango wood, a fast-growing and sustainable source of timber. The mango tree can grow to a huge 80-100 feet high relatively quickly, when it then becomes difficult to harvest. As India is the largest producer of mangos in the world, and with the tree's limited lifespan for yielding the best fruit, they are cut down. On sustainably managed farms, mango trees are replaced every 7-15 years with the barren tree providing farmers with extra income.
After setting up a stall at Camden Market, Mark and Claire found that people loved the unique quality of handmade books as much as they did, and their business has grown from there. The Company now also has a range of fair trade gifts and home accessories.
