Just Trade specialises in beautifully designed, hand-crafted jewellery and accessories made in fair trade co-operatives using locally sourced and ethical materials.

This skilfully crocheted brooch is hand made (with love!) from the softest Peruvian cotton by the ladies in the fair trade Zoe Project in the shanty towns of Lima, Peru. It comes on it's own presentation card explaining more about the fantastic project in which they have been made.

Feel summery all year with this elegant Lily brooch - perfect to brighten up a coat, hat or bag.  It is hand-crocheted in soft cotton with a single trumpet shaped petal, yellow finger-like centre and green stem.  Would make a fabulous gift for garden lovers everywhere!

Not suitable for young children.

100% cotton with metal pin.

Approx size: 2 x 8.5 cm.

Please note: The brooch is handmade using traditional methods that date back to ancient times, so small variations in shape, colour and size are to be expected and treasured as a sign of the making process.

Each hand-crocheted product is made with the softest, locally sourced Peruvian cotton.

Just Trade is recognised as a Fair Trade Importer by the British Association for Fair Trade Shops (BAFTS), and works hand-in-hand with a number of small fair trade projects around the world.

The Zoe project is based in the shanty towns of Lima, Peru. Just Trade guarantee the project a minimum order every month to ensure that the project is sustainable and the people have regular work.

The project offers fairly paid, secure employment for people who otherwise have limited opportunity to support themselves and their families without exploitation, and focuses on sustainability through the sharing of knowledge and skills. The work they do combines traditional Peruvian craft skills and materials with Just Trade's expertise in contemporary jewellery design.

Just Trade was founded in June 2006, initially to provide a route to market for Zoe Creations, a struggling fair trade project in the shantytowns of Lima, Peru. The company was born out of first hand contact with real people in the developing world and the recognition that in order for such projects to be sustainable they need a long-term route to market for their goods.  So, combining traditional craft skills and materials with expert knowledge of contemporary jewellery, Just Trade have produced a collection of beautiful crocheted brooches and jewellery made with care and skill from locally-sourced and ethical materials.
