Hand made from a single piece of certified organic bamboo which is then hand shaped and finished with food safe certified organic oil. Using a single piece of bamboo means the product is safer to use as there is no glue joining pieces together that could leach into food. Bamboo is also more durable than wood, is heat and stain resistant and is ideal for non-stick cookware. It is also naturally anti-microbial and does not impart or absorb flavours.
Responsibly made in China where there are safe working conditions and fair labour practices. Producer Bambu is also B Corp certified which means the company’s business model and entire operations are evaluated to see how they impact their workers, community and environment. In short, B Corporation is to business what Fairtrade certification is to food.
Can be washed in the dishwasher however, as with wooden products, we recommend hand washing to prolong life. Avoid soaking. Not recommended for microwave.

All Bambu's certified organic products are hand sanded and finished using food-safe organic oils. They are tested and approved to be pesticide free and chemical free which means they are safer to use. The bamboo grows and is harvested from wild groves rather than from farmed plantations and the fact that there are no fertilisers or pesticides also protects the health of farmers who work there.
Miracle plant bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world, and is an endlessly renewable resource - growing new shoots from its root system after being harvested. It thrives naturally without using any pesticides or fertilisers, takes in greenhouse gasses and produces 35% more oxygen than the equivalent trees.
Bambu are makers of handcrafted products for the home including bowls, boards & utensils. Their products come from nature and their ideas are inspired by the materials they work with - and crafted in a way that supports sustainable business practices.
