Set of four kitchen utensils from bambu's Essential Organic Series, tied together with natural paper raffia. Each utensil has a rounded, comfortable handle and is made from a single piece of organically grown bamboo which is then hand shaped and finished with food safe certified organic oil. Using a single piece of bamboo means the product is safer to use as there is no glue joining pieces together that could leach into food.
Responsibly made in China where there are safe working conditions and fair labour practices. Producer Bambu is also B Corp certified which means the company’s business model and entire operations are evaluated to see how they impact their workers, community and environment. In short, B Corporation is to business what Fairtrade certification is to food.

All Bambu's certified organic products are hand sanded and finished using food-safe organic oils. They are tested and approved to be pesticide free and chemical free which means they are safer to use. The bamboo grows and is harvested from wild groves rather than from farmed plantations and the fact that there are no fertilisers or pesticides also protects the health of farmers who work there.
Miracle plant bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world, and is an endlessly renewable resource - growing new shoots from its root system after being harvested. It thrives naturally without using any pesticides or fertilisers, takes in greenhouse gasses and produces 35% more oxygen than the equivalent trees.
Bambu is an eco friendly home goods company, designing, producing and marketing homewares made from renewable materials.
Founders Jeff and Rachel built their business around a mission to reduce plastic waste by providing people with natural alternatives. The couple come from Portland in Oregon, US - a place that prides itself on local, home grown, eco-friendly values. They relocated to China and took these values with them. Because they live and work in Shanghai most of the year, Jeff and Rachel can work directly with their teams on the ground in China - local woodworkers, weavers and stitchers - to hand craft every item.
Bambu has recently achieved B Corp Certification. This is the only certification that measures a company’s entire social and environmental performance. The B Impact Assessment evaluates how a company’s operations and business model impact their workers, community, environment, and customers. From the supply chain and input materials to the charitable giving and employee benefits, B Corp Certification proves a business is meeting the highest standards of verified performance.
