This gently exfoliating soap bar for face and body is made with residual chai spices that have been used to create Henny & Joe's chai syrup. Green clay is added to draw toxins from pores helping combat acne and breakouts, and shea butter and glycerin to keep skin hydrated, nourished and smooth. Finally, the fennel and cardamom give the soap a beautiful fresh, clean aroma.

NATURAL

Contains no SLS, SLES, palm oil, silicones, parabens, mineral oil, perfume or sulphates.

SUSTAINABLE

Produced with repurposed Arabica coffee grounds collected from artisan coffee shops in London. Used coffee grounds make a great ingredient for skincare products because the antioxidants in coffee increase as it is brewed. The caffeine helps stimulate blood flow, which in turn helps combat skin conditions like eczema, acne, cellulite and stretch marks. It is also helping to reduce the amount of waste produced by coffee shops in London every day.

The UpCircle story started with the idea of giving used coffee grounds a new lease of life. In 2016, founders William and Anna Brightman went to London Coffee Festival and rescued bags and bags of waste coffee grounds from being thrown out. They used the grounds to formulate a natural face scrub and body scrub, and soon became aware that they were on to something. By the end of 2017, they were regularly collecting grounds from over 80 artisan coffee shops, and the following year secured a deal on Dragon's Den with Touker Suleyman and Tej Lalvani.

Today, UpCircle has transformed more than 250 tonnes of coffee grounds into sustainable skincare. They have also formulated several other beauty products from food ingredients that are being discarded yet still have much to offer our skin. Ten discarded chai spices from the production of chai syrup are used to fragrance their soaps and the production of fruit oil leaves behind all the goodness in the stones; fruit stone powders are rich in vitamins A, C and E and work well in facial moisturisers, masks and balms.
