About Us

The launch of Green Tulip in 2006 fulfilled a long standing dream of having my own shop. It also brought together my personal commitments to trading fairly and respecting the environment with a passion for retail developed over 14 years working for one of the UK’s biggest retailers.

My aim for Green Tulip has always been to offer customers products that are not only stylish and contemporary, but that have also been produced without exploiting people, animals or the environment. All of our products have a story to tell and we love having the opportunity to share these stories with our customers.

Each product on the site has icons indicating which of our six ethical categories it falls into as well as a lot of additional information about the product’s ethics and general information about the brand that produces it. Further information on each of the ethical categories we use can be found here.

Where possible we buy from small suppliers where we can work closely with the founders and hear first hand of their commitment to ethical sourcing. We also give our suppliers and customers the guarantee that Green Tulip will be an ethical business to deal with - paying on time and not working to inflated profit margins.

Now you know a bit more about the principles behind Green Tulip I hope you enjoy looking around our website and feel as inspired as I do about the beautiful products we sell and their stories.

OUR OFFICE AND WAREHOUSE

OUR SHOP - THE INNER YARD

The Inner Yard opened its doors on March 31st 2007, after many weeks of hard work converting an old dairy into a contemporary showroom. It features the full Green Tulip assortment displayed alongside country antiques from No 33 and stylish home interiors under our 'The Inner Yard' brand.

The Inner Yard is part of a development called The Old Potato Yard. Set in the middle of Wiltshire, just outside Devizes and on the edge of Salisbury Plain, The Old Potato Yard also includes a large farm shop, coffee shop, plant nursery, craft workshop and equestrian supplies shop - an ideal venue for a day trip in the country.

More details and opening hours can be found at www.theinneryard.co.uk
