The rCUP is the world's first insulated travel mug made from recycled, used coffee cups!  It comes in a stylish cream and black is comfortable to hold without scolding and will keep a hot drink warm for over 90 minutes.

rCUP's unique and useful feature is its cleverly designed 360 degree drinking experience. This means there is no need to locate the hole or check which side to drink from. The lid is leak resistant, and can be opened and closed using one hand with a push button action, making it perfect for out and about.

Designed and reprocessed into recycled material in the UK. The outer, thermal layer of the cup is made from six recycled disposable cups and the inner layer is made from food safe #5 polypropylene. The manufacture of the cup happens in China.

BPA free. 100% recyclable. Not suitable for microwave use.

Dishwasher safe (top rack). If needed the push button can be prised off for better cleaning access. It is designed to be snapped back on.

Please note: Hot liquid over 65°C can cause steam pressure to build up inside a sealed cup. If the push button becomes stiff to operate, loosen the lid first to relieve the pressure. Please do not force the push button as liquid could spurt out and cause scolding.

Approximately 13.5cm high x 8.5cm diameter (at widest point).

Bringing your own re-usable cup for your take away drink will help go towards reducing the amount of single use cups sent to landfill each year, as 99% are not recyclable.

Disposable paper cups usually contain 5% polyurethane plastic, making composting and recycling extremely rare. Half a trillion disposable cups are manufactured annually around the world - that’s over 70 disposable cups for every person on the planet.

rCUP is designed and produced by ashortwalk, a brand whose products are made directly from recycled waste collected through UK recycle schemes and domestic household waste.

Used cups are collected by Simply Cups, the first dedicated cup collecting and recycling scheme in the UK. Launched in 2014, it offers a recycling solution to the 'unrecyclable' coffee cup along with all types of paper and plastic disposable cups.

The cups are taken to a specialised reprocessing plant in the UK, where they are cleaned, shredded and then blended with a recycled polymer produced from the lids.

Before rCUP, only 1 in 400 cups were recycled due to the issue with the plastic lining. rCUP recycles the whole cup - and by blending 50% cup with 50% cup lid, they can produce a strong material called nextcupcycle.
rCUP is designed and developed by ashortwalk, an innovative company based in North Cornwall who specialise in turning every day waste destined for landfill into unique, functional products for the home and garden.
