NATURAL – The albums and journals are ‘tree free’ and use only organic cotton paper. This paper is handmade using pieces of recycled cotton which is left over from the clothing industry and would otherwise go to waste. The leather and linen used in the albums is coloured using natural dyes.
FAIRTRADE – Nkuku is a member of BAFTS (British Association of Fair Trade Shops). They pay their suppliers a decent wage, and make regular visits to ensure that their conditions are safe and of a good standard, and no children are exploited.
