Our Timu leather journals have been so popular we have added these new 'rustic leather' journals to our assortment. We think they are great value, and love the fact that the wonderful colour is achieved by tanning the leather with tree bark and then leaving it out in the sun to dry!
The paper inside is suitable for all pen types - so they make a great gift for artistic types (and also for those of us who are not so artistic but just like making lists!).

NATURAL – The albums and journals are ‘tree free’ and use only organic cotton paper. This paper is handmade using pieces of recycled cotton which is left over from the clothing industry and would otherwise go to waste. The leather and linen used in the albums is coloured using natural dyes.
FAIRTRADE – Nkuku is a member of BAFTS (British Association of Fair Trade Shops). They pay their suppliers a decent wage, and make regular visits to ensure that their conditions are safe and of a good standard, and no children are exploited. They also maintain a close and personal relationship with the artisans themselves so know that they are very proud of their work and their workforce.
