This classic bar of Very Dark Chocolate blended with Chilli is one of Montezuma's original recipes, and is still one of their bestsellers.
They grind the organic chilli down to a fine granular size so the dark chocolate hit comes first followed a few moments later by that chilli bam! Give as a gift and enjoy watching the reaction which is generally a 'can't taste the chilli" followed a few seconds later by 'ahh.....!!'. The gap depends on how hot they like their chilli!

FAIRTRADE - The organic cocoa used either comes from a co-operative of over 9,000 small plantations in the Dominican Republic or from a similar but smaller co-op in Peru. These co-ops have a strong social structure that re-invests into the local society and infrastructure in a way that makes their cocoa based agriculture sustainable, equitable and indeed profitable. Their partners get a price for their cocoa significantly above the open market price for cocoa and indeed a price above the price paid for “Fairtrade” cocoa.
ORGANIC - all of the Montezuma's products are made from organic chocolate, and they use other organic ingredients where possible.
