Our bambu lacquered bowls are made from hand coiled strips of bamboo, hand shaped and then finished with a natural food safe lacquer derived from the cashew nut tree.
Not only do the bowls look beautiful they are also very practical to use in the kitchen. The natural lacquer creates a durable waterproof finish and means the bowls are suitable for both hot and cold foods. Although not dishwasher safe, they wash easily in warm soapy water.
The biggest of the bowls, this is a real statement piece guaranteed to smarten up any kitchen. It's great as a salad bowl for a large family, or when entertaining, and also makes a stylish fruit bowl. You can even get a few different colours so you can choose one to suit the occasion or scatter them along a buffet table.
Improvements for 2011: Bambu have updated the shape of the salad bowl this year, reducing the height which gives it a more modern feel. Also the bowls now have a scratch resistant coating on the outside.
